“Cisco Networking Academy was the very first place that gave me countless chances to learn and experience how wonderful and exciting the world of computer networking is through various practical knowledge from veterans and a lot of fun with real networking devices! During the journey, it inspired me to wish to be a part of the Cisco team, and now I am here, at Cisco!”
Annie
Annie of U.S. thanks St. John’s University for help with CCNA: Introduction to Networks CCNA: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials CCNP Enterprise: Advanced Routing CCNP Enterprise: Advanced Switching CCNP Enterprise: Advanced Troubleshooting which led to a job as a Systems Engineer in Sales Engineering.
“Networking Academy has been a contributing factor to my success and career in networking. During my undergraduate studies, NetAcad opened my eyes to the world of routing and switching. The more I learned, the easier it was for me to translate this knowledge into my cybersecurity, digital forensics, and programmability courses. It was evident that Networking is fundamental in technology and where I wanted to pursue my career. In 2017, I interned as a Junior Network Engineer, supporting various customer networks and resolving client-related issues. The summer internship granted me perspective in connecting the classroom to real-world environments and seeing how technology impacts people. In parallel, I must attribute my drive and accomplishments to invaluable mentorships I still hold with my NetAcad instructors and relationships with fellow peers. Networking Academy was where I first formed a network of like-minded individuals and leaned on for support, as I studied to attain my CCNA in 2018. In 2019, I joined Cisco’s Sales Associate Program (CSAP) as an Associate Systems Engineer. The CSAP program rigorously challenged my technical depths and pushed what I thought I knew about networking while studying to pass my CCNP that same year. Today, working as a Systems Engineer I am confident in being a trusted advisor to my customers. Having deep technical knowledge allows me to speak to the value of Cisco technologies to architect a network that solves today’s challenges. Most importantly, I’ve learned how to be a better engineer and person through the connections I’ve built since Networking Academy and CSAP.”
Triet
Triet of New York, USA, thanks BMCC for help with CCNA which led to a job as technologist in the ICT sector.
“Without the CCNA that I obtained in BMCC’s Cisco Networking Academy, I never would have been able to make an impact as a learner, a teacher and an engineer. I have had opportunities that took me around the country, working in a multitude of industries and roles. Cisco is a name that rings out far and wide, and to be associated with the Networking Academy has allowed me to change so many lives for the better, including my own.”

Segun of Nigeria thanks Obafemi Awolowo University for help with CCNA which led to a job as an IT Instructor in the Technology sector.
“Cisco Networking Academy helped to make things more meaningful to me, especially in terms of practical applications and greater knowledge about how to do things. I was able to learn by doing, studying the Greats, and then practicing. At my place of work, I was able to apply my knowledge for great impact because I had already gained so much knowledge and experience in teaching and training at the Academy.”
George Andrei
George Andrei of Romania thanks Theological school for help with CCNA, which led to a job as Technical Team Leader in the ICT sector.
“I started to learn networking from scratch, and I didn’t know anything about this field. I was a salesperson for 8 years with a background in Theological school. Cisco Networking Academy gave me the chance to change my future and helped me to access a world with so many benefits that I cannot name them all. I also learned English so I would be able to study the courses 🙂 I started to work in a NOC place where I could start to practice my CCNA knowledge. Having CCNA certification listed on my CV helped me to find a good job with many benefits. Because I now have practical experience, I am prepared to take the next level, CCNP. I am deeply grateful for everything Cisco has given me, and I hope that at some point I can return something back to Cisco.”

Abhilash
Abhilash of USA thanks Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for help with CCNA, and Introduction to Cyber Security which led to a job as Computer Security Researcher in the IT sector.
“I can proudly say that Cisco Networking Academy transformed my life and boosted my career exponentially. Within two years of graduating from Networking Academy, I became knowledgeable in computer systems networking, cybersecurity, software-defined networking, network programmability, cloud computing, and software development.
My interest in these fields was primarily due to the training provided by the mentors at Networking Academy at my college. Networking Academy sparked my interest to study networking which eventually led to to me receiving the best research paper award at an international conference for one of my papers on software-defined networking. My deep involvement with Networking Academy and DevNet got the attention of Cisco recruiters which allowed me to land a Security Engineering job at Cisco Systems. I spent a number of years protecting the networks of some of the largest companies in the world, using the knowledge I gained through Networking Academy.
Nearly five years after graduating from Networking Academy, I still use my course notes while I pursue my graduate degree in cybersecurity at Columbia University. Some of my peers refer to me right now as the Guru of Computer Networking. This is possible only because I studied at this esteemed and highly impactful educational academy.”

Networking Academy allowed me to find my true passion, and ever since, I have served with excellence at every level of Network Operations within the Army.
I have obtained the CCNA and CyberOPS certifications and hold seven other professional IT certifications. I also plan on taking CCNP ENCOR by the end of year and ENARSI shortly after, for which I am using the Cisco Digital Learning platform to prepare. I was also able to take advantage of Networking Academy under a different account sponsored by a scholarship I received from Ivy Tech Community College. Because of these courses, I recently became certified in Linux. I was accepted into the Warrant Officer Cohort as a Network Systems Technician and into the Cisco Military in Sales and Leadership (MISL) Program as an Engineering Intern. I have achieved all of this within the last five years, and Networking Academy was an invaluable tool that started it all.”
