Zaira
Zaira of San José, Costa Rica thanks Sykes – Fundacion Omar Dengo for help with CCNA which led to a job as Technical Consulting Engineer in the IT Industry.
“The skills I learned at Cisco Network Academy have been my foundational knowledge throughout the years. I have been a Cisco TAC engineer supporting server virtualization for over a decade.”
Scott
Scott of Coventry, UK thanks City College, Coventry for help with CCNA which led to a job as an IT leader in Germany.
“I was able to advance my career by obtaining the CCNA certification. I was able to move countries and hold positions that would not have been achievable without this baseline knowledge.
The in-person, instructor led training at the college enabled practical learning to take place and not just the theory. For sure, joining the Networking Academy was the most important enabler of my professional life.”
Olivier
Olivier of France thanks the MRIM AMPERE Marseille for help with CCNA and Networking Essentias which led to a job as teacher in the education sector.
“I have been a Cisco instructor for over 10 years. With the help of the academy’s training modules, I teach my students about network technologies. These future technicians, working in French companies and industries, enhance their career through the Cisco Networking Academy. Connected factories, IOT, cybersecurity of infrastructures and electrical distribution. In these challenges of tomorrow, Cisco is at our side.”
Bruno
Bruno of Brazil thanks AINET for help with CCNA which led to a job as Senior Network Analyst in the financial sector.
“Cisco Networking Academy was instrumental in my career. In 2011, I was studying for the former CCNA – however, without much enthusiasm, due to not having experience in the area and lack of quality material in my native language. When I got to know the NetAcad platform through my college, I ended up trusting and believing in the knowledge made available by such an intuitive, organized and analytical channel. Through NetAcad, I was able to focus again on studies and take the CCNA, then after a few years, the CCNP Enterprise. If it wasn’t for this platform, I may not have followed my career into the magnificent area of Networks.”
Haile
Haile of Ethiopia thanks Microlink Information Technology College for help with CCNA, which led to a job as Network and Software Engineer in the ICT sector.
“I completed the CCNA program and I found it to be one of the most critical training programs I have taken so far for my career development. The industry I work in is about the Network and Network Information Security. The training content is a perfect match for the skill set required for all of my projects. This program has enabled me to not only know networking and networking configurations of different Cisco devices, but also to deep dive into:
- network security analyses
- developing network operating systems (benchmarked on open sources)
- PA (protocol analyses)
- SDN (software defined networking).
My confidence, competency, and skills in networking and network security have grown, due to the paramount importance of this training. I highly encourage others, who are currently working or are going to start working in similar industries like me, to take this critical program as well.”
Marian
Marian of Slovakia self-enrolled in netacad.com and successfully completed CCNA and CCNP, which led to a job as Network Engineer in the IT sector.
“I started to study at my local university where I found an opportunity to be a part of Cisco Networking Labs. I achieved CCNA and CCNP certification for Switching and Routing technologies. Our lecturer was awesome and introduced Cisco devices to us, as well as the console command line which could later be applied in a real job. Networking Academy inspired me to search out and apply for networking job positions.”
Nizamudeen
Nizamudeen from India thanks Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India for help with Networking CCNA which led to a job as Network Administrator in the Education sector.
“Cisco Networking Academy is a powerful platform for me. I have been a Cisco instructor for over 12 years. With the help of the academy’s training modules, I teach my students about network technologies. They have learned a lot of things, got jobs in good companies and industries, and enhanced their careers in India, through the Cisco Networking Academy. I am very proud of Cisco Networking Academy. I have been working as a Network Admin for 15 years at S.K.P Engineering College. I completed CCNA and CCNP. I got a Rising Star Award 2013 in the Asia Pacific Region and an Instructor Excellence Export Level Certification 2012 to 2015.”
Bryan
Bryan from USA thanks Northampton Community College for help with Networking (CCNA, Networking Essentials) which led to a job as Cloud Security Architect in the Computer and Network Security sector.
“Learning the fundamentals of networking was essential to propelling my career at a large healthcare delivery organization. Cisco certification allowed me to advance my career by becoming a Sr. Network Engineer, then a Lead Network Engineer, followed by Manager of Network Engineering. All of that experience (10+ years) has led me to my current job as a Cloud Security Architect for a global technology company. Without Cisco Networking Academy, Kevin Manna & Northampton Community College, I would not be where I am today in my career.”
Mario Alejandro
Mario Alejandro from Argentina thanks Fundacion Proydesa, UTN Sede Centro for help with CCNA (v4), CCNA Security (v1.1), CCNP Switch & Route (v6) which led to a job as Network Consultant in the Infrastructure sector.
“I started my journey with Cisco Networking Academy in 2009 with CCNA v4. I remember practicing labs back then with old Cisco 1720 routers at Ethernet speeds (10Mbps) as well as with WIC cards and V35 serial interfaces. Even with that equipment I felt empowered to configure enterprise-grade network equipment. Being able to ping and see the lab converge ignited a spark of curiosity that grew from there and has never stopped.
My professional journey in the enterprise networking field started while I was finishing the last module in 2011. After that, I chased security and professional tracks in their previous versions. Nowadays, I work with Cisco ASR 9000 carrier-grade routers and I’ve recently obtained CCNP ENCOR certification, as well as currently preparing SDWAN and Service Provider tracks. So looking back, NetAcad was the first step on my professional ladder. I will always be fond of those old routers in the Networking Academy lab that made me passionate about this field and allowed me to get jobs in multinational companies and work in data centers.”
Pavel
Pavel of The Czech Republic thanks Brno University of Technology for help withCCNA, CCNP which led to a job as Senior Network Admin in the IT sector.
“It was great to have CCNA and CCNP courses as part of university because they are very practical and well structured. They led me directly to my current job, which I still have after 10 years. And I got the job even before graduation, which is a great relief for a young student.”
