CCNA study enabled me with the skills and knowledge I needed to step outside of my IT helpdesk role and into the world of network engineering.”

“My journey started 15 years ago, after I finish high school, as a kid knowing nothing of networking, I jumped directly into NetAcad hungry for learning technology. After some months I was able to get my first certification and never stopped, which opened opportunities to then continue with additional certifications but most important to share knowledge with hundreds of folks as a NetAcad instructor. After some time, I moved into Cisco Partners and then directly to Cisco. Over this journey, I have been able to meet amazing people and places, and this is just the beginning as every day there is a new amazing technology to learn and people to meet. I will say I was lucky of taking the Cisco wave very early in my career.”

I saw a good friend signing to a CCNA course and I said: maybe that could be a good start to determine my future!! And that was the beginning of my career journey. I started loving networking and with the CCNA, I could position myself with many partners and finally I could work in the best company in the world: Cisco. Now, after 15 years at Cisco, I looked behind and see that it was a great decision to study at Cisco networking academy!”

I have also enabled enrollment of students onto the NetAcad platform. As I attended all Cisco organized yearly safaris within the region, I interacted with experienced instructors and regularly benefited from reports by Cisco representatives. As a result, I developed a keen interest in emerging technologies. The result is that I will soon be defending my thesis (Algorithms for Detection of People Crowds Using Wireless Sensor Networks).”
Muhammad
Muhammad of Malaysia thanks UniKL MIIT for help with CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Security, CCNA CyberOps, CCNA DevNet which led to a job as Lecturer in the Education sector.
“Most of my students called me their Superman and some called me their Batman. But I’m a person who just loves to be the bridge. If you have difficulty reaching others, I will be your bridge to connect you with others. If you are lost in the dark, I will be the light to brighten up your path. If you don’t know where to start, I will be your guide to show you the way. I am not a Superman, I’m just a humble person who will try to help you. That’s what NetAcad is. I’ve been together with Cisco NetAcad since 2001 as student and my background is actually Civil Engineering. Yes, NetAcad did help me a lot to understand what a network is. The modules themselves are really easy and made it fun for me to learn. I became eager to know more and explore more. In 2008, I started as an Academy Instructor at UniKL MIIT and in 2016, I successfully became a part of the Instructor Trainer community. From there, I started sharing all my knowledge with instructors from all Academies in Malaysia and also with their students. Even my wife is one of my ex-students. NetAcad is a community which does not just teach others but also cares about one another; we help, we love, we contribute, we manage, we are happy together and we are sad together and we look after each of us, together. Because we are family. Salud, Mi Familia Happy Birthday NetAcad!”
