“Thanks to the Cisco Networking Academy program I found a lot of new lifelong friends, became a teacher, co-founded a startup, and finally ended up making the world a better place every day with Cisco.”
Quinn
Quinn of Arizona in the US thanks Round Valley High School for help with Networking CCNA which led to a job in the technology industry as a Developer Advocate.
“The foundational skills learned from the Networking Academy gave me the confidence to be comfortable with being uncomfortable, to always push myself, and to always help others. I’ve carried that forward through networking and now into network automation and development, helping to train the next-generation of networking professionals about the power of programmability.”
José
José of Mexico city thanks TECNOLOGICO DE MONTERREY for help with CCNA as a System Engineer leader in the IT industry.
“Cisco Networking Academy impacted the way I see I can impact others. Through technology, I have been able to impact education institutions to deliver better education and to connect with other peers in the world creating multicultural experiences. During the pandemic, I was able to provide a lot of family’s better life quality through technology and make enterprises more profitable.
Semyon
Semyon of Barcelona, Spain thanks Moscow Institute of Radio Engineering Electronics and Automation for help with CCNA, CCNP, Network Security and others which led to a job as a Technical Manager in the technology education in the communications industry.
“Back in 2004 I decided to invest in my CCNA course at NetAcad hoping to get relevant skills in IT and networking and looking for something better than my university could offer. Fundamental and structured knowledge in networking, configuration and troubleshooting skills gained with 100s of labs on a real gear and led by experienced instructors immediately helped me to show off at my current job and get promoted. NetAcad also expanded my professional network and partially thanks to it I became a NetAcad Instructor and later joined NetAcad organization becoming a Technical Manager and a specialist in IT Education. My story at Cisco started when NetAcad was celebrating its 10th anniversary when I joined to develop the program in Russia and CIS countries: a lot of new academies opened, instructor trainings done, and a lot of wonderful people met. Another challenge was to make the program available as part of the official curriculum so students can access this opportunity without paying extra and I still have many friends whose stories and careers are quite impressive. In 2017 I moved with my family to Barcelona re-joining Cisco NetAcad Technical team to drive and support program development in Europe. Today NetAcad is not only networking, but cybersecurity and programming, cloud and data, courses for very beginners and professionals – so many opportunities and areas of interest located at one place and available to anyone in the world for free. As part of the NetAcad team I am proud to work hard for the best IT education program supporting Instructors and Students with leading-edge resources and professional development opportunities. Every day I hear a new success story of someone who really benefitted from NetAcad, and I am thrilled to be a part of that story!”
Fred
Fred of Australia thanks Mapua Institute of Technology for help with CCNA which led to a job as Systems Engineer in the ICT sector.
“Graduating from the Cisco Networking Academy gave me an early head start in the IT world. I’ve built my career on the strong foundations developed through skills acquired from my time at the Academy. After completing my CCNA course, I found the best way of giving back to the next generation of young professionals is to teach in the Academy as my way of paying it forward.”
Orkun
Orkun of The Netherlands thanks Koning Willem 1 College for help with CCNA, Networking Essentials which led to a job as Senior Network Engineer in the Manufacturing sector.
“Cisco Rocks. Binary World: is the world of ‘0’ and ‘1’, and it is monochrome, either true or false.”
