Chris of Ohio, U.S. thanks Sylvania Southview High School for help with CCNA which lead to a job in the technology industry as a Systems Architect.
“Studying with Networking Academy set the foundation for my entire career, and the rest of my life! At the time, I never in a million years would’ve guessed I’d now be going on 14 years at a major technology company. I’ve been able to move up the ranks to CCNP and CCIE, and give back to others to help them develop successful careers as well. Speaking with the Cisco Live Dream Team is always one of my favorite activities! I’m not sure where I would’ve ended up without NetAcad.”
Paul
Paul of California, U.S. thanks Harbor High School, Santa Cruz, CA for help with CCNA, CCNP, CCIE which led to a job as a Senior Systems Engineering Manager in the technology industry.
“The skills I learned in Cisco Networking Academy have defined my career! I developed a passion for networking while attending the Academy in high school and did everything I could to get to Cisco. I interned at Cisco and started full time in the Sales Associates program upon graduating from UCLA. It was vital to my role as a Systems Engineer and led to me achieving my CCIE! I now lead a team of over 30 Systems Engineers across the Northwestern United States and rely on my fundamental technical knowledge to guide my technical and business strategy for the team?”

“I was born and raised in a low-income family in Colombia and was the first member of my family to go to University/College, where I discovered Cisco Technologies, got my CCNA, and became a Cisco Instructor at the age of 20. Since then I’ve been related to Cisco products, working with Cisco Partners, teaching and sharing my Cisco knowledge and experience with NetAcad and Learning Partner students across multiple countries, and 9 years ago joined the amazing Cisco Family (proud to be a #cisconian).
Cisco NetAcad was my first approach to Cisco and a great way to transform my family’s life and fall in love with Cisco. Now, I live in Southern California working for the Cisco Meraki unit. Cisco helped relocate my family from Colombia to the US to keep growing, learning, supporting, and sharing this ride with others.”

One semester after taking the courses, I began teaching the CCNA modules in my network classes at ITESM-CEM. Today I feel very proud and happy to be part of Cisco Networking Academy.”

“Cisco Networking Academy has had a significant positive impact on my life and career, and the communities I have served across the world. The Cisco Networking Academy equips individuals with valuable networking and IT skills, making them more competitive in the job market. Graduates often find increased employment prospects and advancement opportunities in the IT industry. Participants gain practical, hands-on experience in networking and IT through Cisco’s industry-leading curriculum. This knowledge enables them and me to apply their skills in real-world scenarios, solving complex networking challenges. Cisco Networking Academy provides a supportive community of learners, educators, and professionals; I had some of the best people teach me 20 years ago. Now I myself have trained people all over the world. We can connect with peers, mentors, and industry experts, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and professional growth. My colleagues and I, and our students, have supported local organizations, educational institutions, or community centers, helping to bridge the digital divide and enhance technological capabilities within their communities. Cisco Networking Academy continues to play a crucial role in driving technology advancement globally. By empowering individuals with networking and IT skills, the program contributes to building a skilled workforce capable of implementing and supporting advanced networking technologies i.e. the work I did in Jeddah Saudi with more that 1200 females over the last 5 years. Students and instructors gain access to a wide range of resources, including learning materials, virtual labs, and networking equipment. These resources enable hands-on practice and experimentation, deepening understanding and mastery of networking concepts. Cisco Networking Academy promotes a culture of lifelong learning. Participants are encouraged to continuously update their skills and stay current with emerging technologies through ongoing education and professional development. I have taught many telecommunication company engineers for further education colleges and students for world skills. I embed the course into the curriculum. Cisco Networking Academy has had a transformative impact on individuals, empowering them with networking skills, expanding career opportunities, and enabling them to make positive contributions to their communities. I am grateful for all I have and continue to learn via the platform and the extended network of people.”
